Ways to break a freeze in creativity and flow

What if we are not supposed to break a freeze in our creative flow?

What if we need to be in that tension to feel it, to accept the tension, and then move through it?

You see, we created the freeze because we are not feeling aligned in what we are doing when it comes to our creative pursuits.

Why for example do people have writers block? It's not because their head decided to turn off for a while. It's because they created the block for a reason.

Once we work out that reason, we can then shift the block back to a flow state. There is a much faster way to shift from a feeling of block or freeze back into your creative flow, and that takes a few steps to explain (I have a course on how to shift this) however today, let us look at a few techniques to help support you through a creative block.

1. Remove yourself from what you are doing - great if you can get outside, park, bush, or even your back yard and sit down. Close your eyes and breathe into your diaphragm taking some nice deep breaths around there. Visualise or imagine you have drawn a circle around yourself and you are in your shadow self, and ask yourself these following questions.

> Why do I have this writers block or why is my creative flow with <insert your own block> not moving right now? (Make sure you are specific with your wording).
> Is this a pattern, or why am I doing this to myself right now? (Take note of your answers and what flows as you write).

2. Now that you have taken some notes on why you are doing this in your shadow side, now I want you to do the same from your higher self. Scrub out the last circle, create a new circle around yourself, and this time step into this circle with your higher self. Feel him/her and really connect with your higher self and ask the following questions.

> What is my vision for <insert your specific words on what you are doing>?
> What is it I am creating?
> Show me the way to connect into my flow?
> What’s one thing I can do today to connect into my flow?

That is it. Trust your answers. Align with them and take action from your higher self. Whatever the answer was, take action and do it.

99.9% of people will get back into flow and if you don't get back into flow then you are creating that freeze.

Get up, shake it off, get some music on and dance around the house. Let it all go from your body and then once you have completed that, give yourself at least five minutes before repeating the steps above.

Please also remember to be kind to yourself, and last comment is to have some FUN! Letting go, surrendering and listening to ourselves will always reveal what we need to know, and align ourselves for ultimate creative flow.
