Turmeric Bliss Balls
Turmeric Bliss Balls
By Nourish Melbourne
Makes 16-18 balls
WHAT YOU NEED
> 2 cups raw cashews
> 1.5 cups shredded coconut
> 1 cup sulphur free dried apricots (these are darker in colour than the usual dried apricot)
> 2 tablespoons cashew or almond butter
> 2 teaspoons coconut oil
> 3 teaspoons of 'Rooted' Turmeric + Dandelion Root powder (or you can just use plain organic turmeric although turmeric alone doesn't have anti-inflammatory benefits)
> Juice and zest of 2 limes
> 2 teaspoons maple syrup
> 1 cup of dessicated coconut for rolling balls
> Splash of water if needed to get your mixture sticky
WHAT TO DO
1. Place the cashews in a food processor and blitz them for about 1-2 minutes untli they start to form a flour (be careful not to over process as you may end up with cashew butter!).
2. Add all remaining ingredients to the food processor and blitz for about 2-3 minutes until a sticky dough starts to form. If you're having troubles getting your mixture to be sticky, add tiny amounts of water at a time til you get a sticky consistency.
3. Roll about 1tbsp of mixture at a time through the dessicated coconut and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before eating (or 10 minutes in the freezer if you really can't wait!).
