The holistic approach it takes to observe every detail of an individual - diet, lifestyle, living conditions, relationships and routines – helps to find the root cause of an imbalance and therefore how best to correct it. Ayurveda uses the inherent principles of nature to help us align to our true body, mind and spirit.
WHAT AYURVEDA JOY OFFERS – My background is as a chef so working with me, I will focus on your nutritional needs to help support healing and correct your imbalances. Food is your medicine. Using my training in Ayurveda I will create a specific plan for your unique needs, detailing ideal foods, daily routines, exercise and yoga, herbs, therapeutic body treatments and even spiritual practices like meditation and pranayama to restore and support balance in the body-mind so you can thrive with joy.
Ayurveda Joy also caters for yoga/meditation retreats, trainings, special occasions and runs cooking workshops regularly.
A selection of THERAPEUTIC TREATMENTS offered:
> ABHYANGA - A rejuvenating full body massage with warm medicated oil finished with time in a herbal steam chamber to stimulate the subtle channels of the body to open and release stagnation. - 1hr or 1.5 hour
> SHIRODHARA – Soothe the mind by pouring warm oil rhythmically upon the brow. It benefits the endocrine and nervous systems relieving anxiety, insomnia, depression and stress as well as rejuvenating the spirit. - Allow 1.5 hours
> BASTI - Hot oil treatment for musculoskeletal ailments. A well made of dough is placed on a specific location on the body then hot, medicated oil is placed within to aid pain relief, inflammation and discomfort. Topical herbalised steam is then directed on the area. - 1 hour
