Golden Latte Recipe

A drink with ingredients that have been used for thousands of years in the Indian health practice of Ayurveda. (Learn more about Ayurveda and Your Digestive Health at our next event on 2nd Feb! More info here).

Serves 1.

WHAT YOU NEED

> 1 cup of coconut or almond milk (I prefer coconut - the turmeric colour is way more intense, too!)
> 1 tsp ghee (clarified butter), or coconut oil
> 1 tsp organic turmeric powder
> 1 tsp organic cinnamon powder
> 1/4 tsp organic ginger powder
> 1/4 tsp organic black pepper
> 1/4 - 1/2 tsp raw organic honey (if you feel you need some sweetening...although I love it without as I've been drinking it for a while).

WHAT TO DO

1. Heat all ingredients (except for the honey) in a small pot over the stove.
2. Once heated through, you can choose to pour and serve as it is adding your honey if desired, or use a hand held frother, or blend on high in a high speed blender, for 10-20 seconds or so to achieve a frothy, 'latte' like consistency.
3. Enjoy!
