Bushfire relief – where to donate

Bushfire relief - where to donate

Like you, I am feeling the cries of Mother Earth and more importantly our fellow humans who are losing everything they have right now. Land is burning and lives are being turned upside down. The effects of these fires will last months and years. The loss of wildlife too is completely devastating - the scale of which is unfathomable.

If you are in the fortunate position of being able to give back right now, here are a number of organisations and charities that you can donate to - any amount is the perfect amount.

Please be mindful when considering donating items and check with charities before you do so - right now it can be a hindrance to relief efforts.

> WIRES - (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service) is accepting donations to help their efforts in supporting displaced and injured wildlife affected by the NSW fires.

Finally, see if your local council or community have set up Facebook pages to act as a central, organised point for you to donate food or other goods, or to donate your time packing food and snacks for firefighters and community members who've had to flee their homes.

If you don't have one, consider banding together with fellow neighbours and community members to create one!
